COMMUNITY MISSIONS
CCHASM MINISTRY & FOOD BANK
Chesterfield/Colonial Heights Alliance for Social Ministry (CCHASM) is a non-profit organization that provides food, clothing, financial assistance and other help to area residents who are having emergency situations.
HOW YOU CAN HELP
When you do your weekly grocery shopping, please add an extra can of vegetables, meat or cereal to your cart and bring to church any Sunday. A basket in the foyer is available for collection and will be delivered to Southminster Presbyterian Church, our local distributor to the hungry of our county. Any donated items will be greatly appreciated!

SUPPORT CCHASM
For nearly 30 years, CCHASM has served as a non-profit organization seeking to serve those individuals and families in Chesterfield-Colonial Heights who have found themselves in an economic crisis. Those assisted by CCHASM are area residents, individuals, and families who, for various reasons (i.e, loss of jobs, medical emergencies, loss of the primary income member, recent disability), are experiencing an acute economic crisis, which threatens their basic survival needs. CCHASM relies on the generous support of community and Alliance members. Donate to CCHASM here.
PENNIES FOR HEAVEN
We gather together on the 2nd Saturday of every month to help the homeless in our community. Those who wish to help with this outreach should be at the church at 7:30 am.
We continue to collect hygiene items for this, such as deodorant, soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste, razors. The need for socks is great all of the time, but especially as the weather gets colder!
Please note, we are no longer able to provide clothing items to our homeless friends. We are, however, still accepting gently used coats and hoodies during the months of December and January. Donations for hygiene products (and gently used jackets and coats in December and January) are greatly appreciated!
