Alma Hunt Offering (September)
The annual offering in September for Virginia missions was named for Alma Hunt (1909-2008), a native Virginian who was known worldwide for her mission’s service and her unswerving dedication to the cause of Christ. When you give to the Alma Hunt Offering for Virginia Missions, you are equipping those who seek to share with others how God has set them free to live and serve.
Annie Armstrong (March)
The offering was started in 1895 by Woman’s Missionary Union® (WMU) to benefit the work of the North American Mission Board. In 1934, it was named in honor of Annie Armstrong, a bold missions advocate and WMU’s first national executive leader. Today, more than $1 billion has been donated by Southern Baptist churches and individuals.

The "New Shoes for Back To School" Ministry was created to assist families in a small way, for youth K-12 to receive a new pair of shoes as they return to the new academic school year. Due to the struggling economy, families must juggle and make priorities for their mere existence. The children receive their shoes on Labor Day each year.
