Lyndale has looked closely at where help is needed most in our community and one truth is impossible to ignore: too many people don't have steady access to food. As shelter numbers grow and more families struggle to put meals on the table, Lyndale needs your support now more than ever. Through our outreach missions, we provide food, care items, and hope for people in our area. Whether you volunteer your time or give a donation, every gift helps meet real needs in our community.
Blessing Box Food Pantry
Our little yellow Blessing Box outside our church is open every day for anyone in the community who needs food. Along with food, it also includes information about local resources and support opportunities. If you'd like to help, donations can be placed in the plastic tub beside the church door, and volunteers collect and sort everything each day. There's also a prayer box in the pantry, so anyone can leave a prayer request and know they're being cared for in more than one way.

Donate Food Items
​When you do your weekly grocery shopping, add an extra non-perishable food item to your cart to donate, such as:

Canned Goods: fruit, vegetables, chicken, tuna, soups, pasta, sauce

Dry Goods: crackers, cereal, pasta, boxed mac & cheese, instant potatoes

Beverages: tea, coffee, juices

Day of week and times to fill the Blessing Box are flexible and can work around your schedule.

Changing Lives "One Sandwich at a Time"
Alternating Months: 1st weekend of every odd month
(​January, March, May, July, September & November)

Through this program, volunteers prepare more than 150 bagged lunches for four nearby shelters in our surrounding area. The lunches we provide help feed women, children, families, and Veterans who are staying there temporarily.
On the first Friday evening of every odd-numbered month, volunteers come together to make sandwiches and pack the lunches. Then, the next morning, volunteers deliver them to the shelters. It's a simple, hands-on way to provide a reliable meal and support neighbors who need it most.
WAYS YOU CAN HELP

On the second Friday night of every month, we open our doors for a free Community Dinner from 4:00 to 6:00 PM. This is a warm, welcoming place for anyone who needs a good meal, a safe place to breathe, and a little peace from the storm. There are no requirements, no pressure, and no strings attached, just food, fellowship, and real support. If you'd like prayer, our prayer partners are here and ready to pray with you.

Food isn't the only urgent need at local shelters, personal hygiene items are often in low supply. On the second Saturday of every month, our Ministry Team delivers hygiene bags of basic personal care items for those who are homeless and friends in need. This outreach is a simple, hands-on way to meet practical needs and share kindness with our community. Every bag shares the message of Christ: you matter, and you haven't been forgotten.
