CONNECTING IN OUR COMMUNITY

In our search for ministries that tangibly help our community, Lyndale has come to realize that one of the largest problems for families is low food security.  Through our community missions, we passionately attempt to alleviate this as much as possible.

Pennies For Heaven
Monthly (2nd Saturdays)

On the 2nd Saturday of each month, a team goes out to deliver hygiene bags containing vital personal care items for those who are homeless.  Each bag contains a toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, bath soap and razors.  We also include items such as socks, washcloths and shampoo when our donations provide them.

Monthly (2nd Fridays)

On the 2nd Friday night of each month, we host a free Community Dinner from 4:00 - 6:00 PM.  We offer good food, fellowship and support for those who are in need of a safe place "from the storm" - a place to eat and relax with NO STRINGS ATTACHED!   Our prayer partners are available to pray with those who wish to do so.

Blessing
Blessing Box Community Food Pantry

Our little yellow Blessing Box outside of our church provides non-perishable food items for those in our community and is available daily.  We not only offer food, but also resource opportunity information.  Donations are accepted through a plastic tub located beside the door of the church.  Volunteers recover and sort it each day.  Prayer is also offered through a prayer box located in the pantry box.

Changing
Changing Lives - One Sandwich At A Time
1st Weekend Every Other Month:
January, March, May, July, September & November

Through this program, we offer 150 bagged lunches divided between four shelters in our surrounding area.  Volunteers gather the 1st Friday night of every odd month (January, March, May, July, September and November) to make sandwiches and pack lunch bags. Lunches are delivered by volunteers the next morning.
