WHO:
You, of course! The projects are a great fit for adults, as well as middle and high school youth with adult supervision.
WHAT:
Anticipated projects include deck and porch repair, clearing trails, organizing/relocating equipment and supplies, and more! Have a specific skill set? We’d love to know… we might have a project waiting for someone with exactly your gifts!
WHEN:
It officially begins with dinner on Friday, May 21 and wraps up mid afternoon Sunday, May 23. They are flexible with timeframes based on volunteer availability.
WHERE:
CrossRoads’ gorgeous property nestled in the Blue Ridge mountains!
HOW:
Cabin lodging and meals are free for volunteers during the volunteer weekend event. Upgrade to hotel style lodging for $20/room cleaning fee.
WHY:
Because we believe God is going to show up and show off this summer and your help is needed to be ready for all God has in store!
WHAT TO EXPECT:
Between Breakfast and dinner, work on projects with a break for lunch. In the evening CrossRoads will provide optional outdoor activities such as a campfire, field games, and a time of worship, or feel free to explore the beautiful property, or rest and reconnect with your family/group.
COVID SAFE:
Projects will be assigned by family groups, groups that travel together, or groups that communicate they “bubble” together. Many projects will be outdoors, but for indoor projects we do expect volunteers to wear masks if anyone outside of their household is present in the space and distances of 10 ft or more between participants aren’t guaranteed. Masks are required when traveling in our dining hall and in public restrooms, as per state directives. We will work with families and groups to ensure safely distanced dining and lodging options at low capacity.
