Lyndale will once again be one of nine churches participating in the New Shoes for Back-to-School Ministry. As we did last year, we will be delivering the shoes directly to Title 1 schools in Chesterfield, Henrico, and Richmond. We will be receiving our school assignments in mid-July.
It was exciting last year to hear how each school was going to use the shoes, some had clothing closets, others already knew which kids were receiving shoes, and others were going to hand them out during their free lunch initiatives. Each school was so grateful, and we were blessed again to be the hands and feet of Christ.
We hope each of you will be in prayer for this ministry and for the kids that will be receiving these shoes. We are starting to collect shoes, please remember that we need school appropriate shoes, tennis shoes seem to be the best, with no light ups. Shoe donations can be left in the Community Room at the church.
